What does a personal stylist do?
A personal stylist helps you create a wardrobe that fits your lifestyle, body, preferences and goals. Julia Styled can help you evaluate what you already own, identify wardrobe gaps, create outfits and shop more intentionally. The goal is not to change who you are—it is to make getting dressed easier and help your wardrobe feel more like you.
Will I be expected to get rid of everything in my closet?
No. Julia Styled is not about replacing your entire wardrobe. During a Closet Edit, we will thoughtfully evaluate each piece and decide what should be kept, tailored, repaired, donated, consigned or replaced. You always make the final decision about what leaves your closet.
Is the cost of clothing included in the service price?
No. Styling fees cover Julia’s consultation, preparation, research, shopping guidance and follow-up. Clothing, accessories, alterations, parking and other purchases are paid for separately by the client.
What shopping budget do I need?
There is no universal budget. Julia will recommend a realistic range based on your priorities, preferred retailers and the number of pieces you need. Your budget will be discussed before any shopping takes place, and you will never be pressured to spend beyond it.
Can you work within a specific budget?
Yes. Transparency about your budget helps Julia choose appropriate stores and prioritize the pieces that will have the greatest impact. A focused budget may mean refreshing a few important wardrobe categories rather than completing a full transformation at once.
What if something purchased during our session does not work later?
Clients are responsible for final purchase decisions, returns and exchanges unless additional assistance is included in their package. Julia will provide honest guidance during the session and recommend checking each retailer’s return policy before purchasing.
Where are in-person services available?
Julia Styled is based in the Seattle metropolitan area. Travel within the standard service area is included as specified in the selected package. Appointments outside that area may require an additional travel fee, which will be confirmed before booking.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Because time is reserved specifically for each client and preparation may begin before the appointment, cancellations and rescheduling are subject to the terms provided at booking. Please review your service agreement for notice requirements, deposits and applicable fees.
Do you travel to clients outside the Seattle metropolitan area?
Yes. Julia Styled may travel to clients outside the Seattle metropolitan area depending on location, availability and the requested service. Additional fees may apply to cover travel time, mileage, parking, tolls, lodging or other travel-related expenses. A personalized travel estimate will be provided and approved before your appointment is confirmed. Virtual styling is also available for clients who prefer to work together remotely.
